Followers: The thing is your follower count is a vanity metric. You can buy a thousand fake subscribers for a couple of dollars online. It's fake, and you know it. So how many followers do you really need to run a sustainable business. How many of those followers do you need to convert into paying customers each month to pay the bills. That's the only number that matters. 

Consistency and Trust: Showing up and wearing your heart on your sleeve is hard for everyone. On top come the trolls. Where are all these trolls coming from? Seriously though. They suck out your energy like bloody vampires. When showing up and speaking your truth is hard enough. My secret? Think about how lonely they must be to lash out on random peeps on the internet. Then ignore them, hold your ground and keep keep going. 

So, what next: Yup, it's hard, it takes time and persistence. It takes showing up. But let's see what you can do today to get you one step closer to growing a squat of BFFs online!

Growing an engaged and inspired audience ain't easy. Not going to sugar coat that. But it's possible. 

You've gotta hustle! That's what everybody keeps preaching, right? It's easy for them to say. That girl with the million followers on Insta. The gal pal with her own merch from YouTube. C'mon now! Tell me your dang secret of growing a loyal fan base already! 

Find your Ideal Customer: You've gotta let go of the belief that everyone is your people. You can't be everybody's darling. You can't serve and please them all. No! You've got to become clear of who you're attracting. If you're talking to everybody, you're talking to nobody. And nobody doesn't pay the bills. 

So, what next: Know your Ideal Customer. Stay consistent. Build trust. Understand how many followers you actually need to run a sustainable business.
